Rylee and I moved from Norfolk to work with Young Life in Goochland County, and we could not be more excited to be here. We attended school at Regent University, where we met doing missions work. I have been involved with Young Life since 2017 as a volunteer in Virginia Beach, and Rylee has first got involved helping lead a summer camp trip.
We both have fallen in love with this county as the people are so welcoming and inviting. This is a community we certainly love being a part of! We are also both overjoyed to be working with Young Life here. There is a long, wonderful history of the organization in this area that we are fortunate to join be a part of!
We love getting to know the teenagers and parents in this community and we pray that we can represent Jesus well to them. Nothing is more important than Jesus Christ and His Gospel, and we pray we can be a part of His Kingdom advancing in Goochland!
Committee is the foundation for Young Life in a local area.
Comprised of parents, local alumni and civic leaders, Committee provides the foundation of financial, administrative and moral support for the local Young Life team.
Donors are vital to Young Life in the local area. Because Young Life areas are financially supported solely at the local level, donors’ financial gifts account for all of an area's budget and part of a region's budget. Your donation helps areas hire and train staff and provide essential administrative support to the area. Your contributions also support operating expenses such as salaries and other ministry costs and can help send kids to Young Life camps.
We believe that in order to reach kids we must go where they go and enter their world. Every week in our local area, Young Life staff and volunteers can be found at school events and practices and at kids' favorite hangouts. In many cases, they are the only adult friends kids have in their lives. Our work could not be done without your support. We are grateful for your gift to Young Life. Thank you for all you do to help us reach generations of kids who desperately need to hear a message of hope.
